Welcome to Deeply Relaxed

Deeply Relaxed is a holistic practice for somatic yoga, bodywork, massage, and sound experiences in Arnhem Noord.

In my practice I support people who experience stress, overload, exhaustion, or chronic tension. Through gentle, body-oriented methods I help the body to slow down, release tension, and return to a natural state of rest.

In a world where many people are constantly “on,” Deeply Relaxed offers a space where you can land in your body, breathe, and restore balance.

My Approach

In my work the nervous system plays a central role. When the body remains under stress for a long period of time, the natural ability to relax and recover can become disrupted.

Through slow movement, attentive touch, breath, sound, and body awareness, I support the nervous system in settling and returning to balance. From this place of calm the body can begin to restore energy, resilience, and inner stability.

My approach is somatic, which means that we work with the direct experience of the body: breath, weight, sensation, and inner awareness. This allows the body to release tension and rediscover a sense of space, grounding, and ease.

The three pillars of Deeply Relaxed

My work brings together several forms of body-oriented guidance.

Somatic and Restorative Yoga

In my yoga classes I work with a gentle, meditative, and trauma-sensitive approach. The focus is not on performance, but on relaxation, breath, and body awareness.

My classes are inspired by:

• somatic movement practices (such as Body-Mind Centering and Somatic Movement)
• nervous system regulation inspired by polyvagal theory
• restorative yoga and yoga nidra

Through slow movements, supported resting postures, and attention to the breath, the body is invited to deeply relax and restore itself.

Holistic Energetic Massage

My massage sessions combine classical relaxation massage with several forms of bodywork.

I work with techniques such as:

• Swedish massage and trigger point therapy
• acupressure and energetic bodywork
• somatic bodywork and breath guidance
• Holistic Pulsing (gentle rhythmic movement)
• hands-on healing

During the massage I work slowly, attentively, and intuitively, listening to the signals of the body. This allows tension to release while supporting the body's natural capacity for self-healing.

Sound & Voice Work

Sound can be a direct gateway to deep relaxation.

During sound sessions I work with singing bowls, rainsticks, shamanic instruments, and my own voice. The vibrations of sound help the body release tension and invite the nervous system into a state of calm.

Sometimes I also invite participants to explore their own voice through vocal toning or simple harmonies. The voice can be a powerful way to release tension and reconnect with the body.

Who is Deeply Relaxed for?

My practice is intended for adults who:

• experience long-term stress or burnout
• struggle with tension-related complaints or chronic fatigue
• are recovering from trauma or emotional exhaustion
• are highly sensitive or easily overwhelmed by stimuli
• long for deep relaxation and greater body awareness

Many people who come to my practice feel that their body needs slowing down, rest, and reconnection.

My vision on well-being

I believe that true relaxation and healing arise when body, breath, and awareness reconnect.

My work therefore focuses on supporting the body’s natural ability to regulate, relax, and restore balance.

Deeply Relaxed offers a space where you can step out of the pace of everyday life and reconnect with yourself and your body.
