Yoga, Voice & Sound Bath Workshop
for rest, reflection, connection, and vitality /
tailored for small groups
Your voice has the power to bring your body and mind into balance: it can help calm your nervous system, energize the body, and deepen your breathing. It can lift your mood, support emotional processing (grief, loneliness, loss, depression), and even improve your overall health.
The beauty of the voice is that almost everyone can use it — you don’t need to be a singer or read music to benefit. In the Yoga, Voice & Sound Experience workshop, you’ll learn how to relax body and mind through restorative yoga postures combined with vocal exploration, sound, and breathwork. These are gentle, accessible practices that everyone can do.
Unlike singing songs — where you learn a melody with words and focus on presentation — in YOGA & VOICE you produce sustained sounds with vowels or simple tones. Instead of performance, toning focuses on the resonance and vibration of sounds, and the inner experience of your voice and its effect on your well-being.
The workshop consists of three parts:
Energize the body with yoga and voice
A gentle, restorative form of yoga in which we gradually bring the voice into breath, movement, and meditation. Your body, breath, and voice are deeply interconnected. Posture and movement shape your voice; your vocal folds and breath are inseparable. In other words: your body is a living, breathing instrument. In this first part we discover and strengthen the relationship between voice, body, and breath.
Opening the heart through sounding together
At the heart of our workshop is a vocal session with various explorations. Sounding together in a group is a special experience with remarkable effects on body and mind. Through listening and playful vocal exploration, we create meditative soundscapes of harmonies and mantras. By tuning in to breath and silence, we invite a creative play of sound and resonance.
Deep relaxation by receiving sound
In the final part, it is time to simply receive and enjoy the sounds. I guide you on a sound journey with crystal singing bowls, chimes, a shamanic drum, and a gentle, soothing voice. A sound experience — also called a Sound Bath — is a meditative immersion in sound waves. The experience may include guided meditation, voice, and breathwork. The vibrations of the bowls can have profound effects on body and mind, harmonizing the cells with their frequencies and bringing you back into balance.

Positive effects of working with the voice
Using your own unique voice can promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. While it can vary from person to person, there are many potential benefits:
Emotional discharge
By using your voice organically to produce different tones, pitches, and frequencies, you can tap into and release stored emotional tension, promoting a greater sense of emotional balance and well-being. Using words activates the left or logical brain. Making organic sounds activates the right or intuitive brain, allowing you to access your subconscious where memories are stored.
Stress reduction
Using your voice can help reduce stress by activating the body's relaxation response. The voice is innervated by the vagus nerve, which activates the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system, putting us in that "rest and digest" state.
Authentic self-expression
Yoga and Voice encourages self-expression through your voice. It can help you explore, discover, and develop confidence in your communication skills.
Improved breathing and lung capacity
Yoga and voice training help increase your lung capacity and improve overall respiratory function and respiratory health. Specifically, this increases oxygen flow during breathing and improves your energy levels.
Vibrational healing
Yoga and voice involve producing sounds that create vibrations in the body—giving yourself an inner vibrational massage! These vibrations can reshape and restructure you at a molecular level. These vibrations can help release energetic and emotional limitations and promote overall well-being.
Empowerment
Making organic or primal sounds can be affirming and grounding, and a way to manage emotions and feel more empowered. This practice can help you develop a deeper connection with your body, emotions, and inner self.
Vocal health
Using your voice encourages self-expression. It also builds confidence in your communication skills and allows you to further develop them.
